Did not receive any traffic navigation suggestions from last week’s plea. Either no one has found a good work around or they wanted to keep their route as clear as possible & didn’t share (If so, shame on them).  Since we’re all frustrated with the traffic wanted to share something else positive; Keller Williams RED Day.

So you may be wondering – What is Red Day? RED stands for Renew, Energize and Donate, it is Keller Williams Realty’s annual day of service. RED Day was created in 2009 to honor one of our founders, Mo Anderson’s, birthday by spending the day away from our businesses serving worthy organizations and causes in our communities. RED Day is just another example of our commitment to each other and the cities and towns where we live and work.

This year on May 11, my office wants to really make an impact – we have a chance to encourage & connect with young, underprivileged children. We will be going to the Andrew Young YMCA in Atlanta where we will be there providing hands on attention that these kids crave!  The moms will not be there; our focus will be helping the kids to make jewelry &/or a Mother’s Day cards to take home to their Moms as well as interacting with the children and giving them a great afternoon.

We need your help to make this happen. You can help by donating items to make the mother’s day cards as well as donate items for the Summer YMCA programs. This is what we need:

Card stock or construction paper for cards

Stickers, markers, colored pencils for cards

Organic sunscreen (Garden Goddess brand was specified)

Band-Aids

Bubbles

Play equipment – hula hoops/badminton/yard games

Basketballs

Kick balls

Jump ropes

Beach balls

Tennis balls

Games – Apples to Apples , UNO, Checkers , Chess, Connect Four, etc.

Sidewalk chalk

Any other fun stuff for kids

Of course, we will always take donations to purchase supplies as well. If you have items or funds to donate please let me know & I’ll pick them up. We’ll be extraordinarily grateful & you’ll earn some good Karma.

“You can’t always change the world, but you can change someone else’s world.”

All the best,

Debby
